Zyclunt (also known as Blade Warrior) a side-scrolling shooting platform game, packed full of detailed graphics and great sound, that not many people have heard about, mostly due to it being distributed only in shareware channels.

Review
ZycluntSTORY/GAMEPLAY
Set in the year 2002 AD, Earth was on the edge of social and economic breakdown due to incurable diseases, drugs, crimes, etc. Cyborgs and Bioroids were being exploited by the crime lords in their fight against the Establishment. You are Sou, member of Zyclunt, a band of retired and discredited soldiers paid by the Establishment to undertake covert missions. After being drafted into the service, you finally are assigned your first mission as a marauding band of Mechadine had been sighted in D-C-14 district, where the regular meeting of the security council was taking place.
During your mission, you can pick up weapons that you may found on your way, such as knife, sickle, crowbar, etc each one doing different level damage to the enemies. There are also sometimes powerups to collect, and massive bosses to battle. However the gameplay is a bit clunky, since many of the enemy shots seem impossible to avoid, and controlling your character is not always smooth.
All in all, Zyclunt is a fine ganme, the action is fun, mindless and absorbing, and the huge range of enemies and bonus pods keeps it that way for hours.

GRAPHICS/SOUND
The graphics are, without a doubt, the most impressive part of the game. Apart from being amazingly colorful and intricately detailed they're also superbly animated. Sound and music are similarly effective. Sound effects are well matched to the game's atmosphere, while rock music full of drum riffs accompany your mission.
